POE, PBE & α-olefins innovation forum 2026 is to be held on Jul 30th-31st in Lianyungang, Jiangsu. The conference, hosted by ASIACHEM, is to explore and discuss POE, PBE & α-olefin key processes & industry progresses. The event would also organize a visit to Lianyungang PC industry base & new material pilot base.
On Jun 23rd, China Coal Yulin coal processing base project methanol to olefins (DMTO-Ⅲ) unit realized intermediate handover and initial ignition for heating up.
On Jun 26th, the methanol synthesis unit in the project also smoothly reached mechanical completion. Other units would orderly speed up as scheduled, to lay foundation for the whole site intermediate handover and linked test running of different sections.
On Jun 15th, the base project ASU was the first to reach mechanical completion.
China Coal Yulin coal processing base project would use coal as raw material and apply AP (GE) WCS HP gasification process for production of 2.20Mt/a methanol, and further to produce 750kt/a olefins. In addition to 166kt/a liquid propylene obtained from existing facility, the project is to ultimately output 350kt/a polyethylene and 550kt/a polypropylene. At the same time, by engineering improvement & upgrading on existing phase I, the new phase added a 250kt/a LDPE/EVA chain-extension unit as well as accessory facilities.
